Welcome to a seminar “Tatars in Finland in the transnational context of the Baltic Sea”, at Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki, Unioninkatu 33, on Wednesday 17 October 2018 from 10:00 to 17:00.
Speakers from Finland, Sweden, Russia, Estonia and Hungary will discuss the past and present of the Tatars in Finland and countries around the Baltic Sea, their language, identity and religion, as well as strategies for survival as a minority, connections between Tatars and the situation of the minorities previously and today.
